Fashion stalker...

Friday, May 1, 2009
You know, I've always had this weird fashion dilemma.

I'm not an avid designer stalker, but once I found something I like e.g. Marc Jacob's clean silhouette designs, Michael Kors' young and trendy design, Anya Hindmarch's insightful bag designs and not forgetting legendary couture designers - Elie Saab, Chanel or Valentino; it's quite hard to not admire repetitively at the gorgeous designs they produce.

But what I failed as a fashion enthusiast is that I failed to repeat their marvellous creativity and insights in real life.

I am very conscious of myself in public. My ongoing dilemma is that I always have to get positive reactions from people once I tried a fashion dare. One negative remark can leave me moody the whole day, which beats its purpose - because fashion is about attempting difference and being happy about your individuality.

I played safe most of the time, as to not create raised eyebrows from people around me.

Which again to me, beats the purpose of fashion - because by then, I am succumbing to being the pessimist and not creating the individual style that fashion enthusiast should have.

Imagine then, when I see these marvellous commoners (well, they aren't common to me -_-''') dwelled up in their most fashion-forward styles and totally working it out!

I love TiC, of which all of these pictures are stolen from because they portray all the styles you can create (and looking good too!).

While I may not be daring enough to walk The Spring down this weekend with the styles portrayed, all these pictures momentarily quench my thirst of fashion famine.

These pictures make me go wahhhh and ohhhh! How can these people looked so good and stylish at the same time! *envious*
